While walking through the boat yard in Montauk, New York, I was struck by the amount of fishing gear and the variety of colors that was all around me. I began shooting with my large zoom lens to get as close as possible to show all the fine detail in the nets. This also enabled me to get a macro feel to the image without the need of a tripod.
Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 “L” lens. Post processing in Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS-6. Detail and color enhancement with OnOne 7 software.
